William 'Stan' Smith

ROGERS — William Stanley "Stan" Smith, 81, of Rogers died Nov. 25, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. He was born Jan. 24, 1924, in Rogers to Dorothy Bryant and J. Frank Smith. He retired from McKesson Drug Co. in Memphis, Tenn., where he was a sales manger and a pharmacy design consultant. He was a pharmacist for many years, most recently at Freddie's Pharmacy and All-Care Pharmacy in Rogers. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Rogers and active in the medical ministry. He moved to Northwest Arkansas from Memphis in 1988. He was a deacon at Bennington Park Baptist Church in Memphis. He was preceded in death by a son, Scott P. Smith.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Lola "Marie" Smith, of the home; a son, William Stanley "Stan" Smith Jr., of Branson, Mo.; a daughter, Jeanay Price and husband Roger of Exeter, Mo.; a brother, J. Frank Smith Jr., of Rogers; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Stockdale Funeral Services in Rogers with the Rev. Ben Rowell officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Rogers Cemetery in Rogers.

Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Jasa Price, Patrick Price and Alex Smith.

Memorials may be sent to the First Baptist Church Building Fund in Rogers or to the Tree of Life Clinic, formerly the Popular House, in Rogers.

Marie Smith

Lola Marie Smith, 75, of Rogers died Monday, July 16, 2007, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Marie was born in Giles County, Tenn., March 10, 1932, the daughter of Raymond and Ellie Shelton.

She earned a nursing degree in Nashville, Tenn., and worked as a registered nurse in Memphis, Tenn. She later served as director of the United Cerebral Palsy Day Center in Memphis.

Upon retirement, Marie moved to Rogers, where she was a member of First Baptist Church of Rogers and the Naomi Sunday school class. She enjoyed growing roses and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her loving husband of 42 years, William Stanley Smith, in 2005, one stepson, Scott Smith and three older brothers.

Marie is survived by one stepson, William Stanley "Stan" Smith Jr. of Branson, Mo.; one stepdaughter, Jeanay Price and husband Roger of Exeter, Mo.; one brother, Robert Shelton of Wills Point, Texas; one sister, Betty Richardson of Irving, Texas; three grandchildren, Jasa Price of Bella Vista, Patrick Price of Rogers and Alex Smith of Pineville, Mo.; one great-granddaughter, Kenslee Brown of Bella Vista; seven nieces; five nephews.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 19, at Stockdale Funeral Services in Rogers, online at stockdalefuneral.com. Pastor Tommy Hinson will officiate. Interment will follow in Rogers Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Roger Price, Rocky Price, Randy Price, Michael Price, Patrick Price and Tyler Price.
