Mrs. Rebecca Peace died January 18 at the home of her son, J.D. Peace of Monte Ne at the age of 80 years, 7 months and 7 days. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church in Rogers Friday afternoon and were conducted by the pastor, Rev. C.A. Westbrook. The deceased was twice married, first to G.W. Smith in 1853 and after his death to J.B. Peace February 11, 1850. She leaves three children to mourn her loss: R.W. Smith of Blue Jacket, Okla.; J.D. Peace of Monte Ne and Mrs. Susie Stone of St, Joseph, Mo. She was converted and united with the Baptist church in 1879 and had ever since been a loyal, faithful worker.
