Resolutions Of Respect
Sylvester C. Smith was born July 6, 1893. He was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason in Acacia Lodge No. 625 F and A Masons January 22, 1924. He served the lodge as secretary for a number of years and was always at his post of duty and made the lodge a faithful and efficient secretary. He was always interested in the proceedings of the lodge and often journeyed from Boswell to Calico Rock to attend its meetings.
While we drop the sympathetic tear over the grave of our deceased brother, let us cast around his problems, whatever they may have been, the broad mantle of Masonic charity. Nor withhold from his memory the commendation that his virtues claim at our hands. Therefore be it resolved that a copy of these resolutions be spread on the minutes of the lodge and a copy be furnished the family.
Respectfully submitted, A. H. Matthews.
