Pineville Child Dies After Brief Illness
Patricia Anetta Smith, aged 7, died at her home near Pineville, Friday afternoon, June 27th. For the past several months she has been a sufferer from leukemia. She was under treatment in a Little Rock hospital for several days. Her condition proved beyond control of medical authorities and she took a sudden turn for the worse about a week before her death.
Surviving, are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Truman Smith, and two sisters, Miss Erma Dene Smith of Osceola, Ark., and Louise Smith of the home.
Funeral services were held at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Pineville, Sunday afternoon, with Rev. Y. Whitfield in charge. Burial was in the Pineville cemetery, the Higginbotham Funeral Home being in Charge of arrangements.
