Beecher Davis, of Bentonville, died Dec. 24, 1995, at Bates Medical Center.

He was born in Limestone to William and Susie Curtis Davis. He was an Army combat engineer in the Pacific Campaign during World War II. He was a heavy equipment operator and helped construct Beaver Lake. He was an avid Razorback fan and enjoyed music. He was a member of Hiwasse Church of Christ. He moved to the area in 1949 from Newton County. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Davis of the home; two sons, Steve Davis of Seligman and Randy Davis of Bentonville; one daughter, Barbara Morehouse of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Russell Davis of Kansas City, Kans., and Mitchell Davis of Gravette; five sisters, Norma Stone of Dardanelle, Alpha Stone of Fort Douglas, Verna Stone, Grace Nelson and Imalee Cowick, all of Gravette; two grandsons.

Service was Thursday, Dec. 28, at Gravette Church of Christ, Larry Ellis officiating. Burial with military honors provided by VFW Post 9063 was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Bentonville directing.
