(from New Hope) Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Davis and Russell Davis and family came up from Little Rock Thursday to attend the funeral of Mrs. Malinda Davis whose body was laid to rest in the Rogers cemetery at 10 o'clock Friday morning. Mrs. Davis had been a resident of New Hope district for 20 years and was loved by all her neighbors. She was one of the charter members of the New Hope Community club and when her health would permit was ready and willing to do more than her part in charity work or anything else to help the poor and needy. In her death our club has lost a faithful member but our loss is her eternal gain for she has gone to join her companion who is waiting for her on that beautiful shore.
