JACKSON, Bessie WILLIAMS - Miss Bessie Williams was born at Albany, Tex. Feb. 18, 1888; came to Benton county with her parents from Paris, Tex. in 1907; was married at Bentonville Nov. 8, 1911 to Edwin F. Jackson of Rogers and died at her home in Rogers on West Cherry St. at 1 o'clock p.m. Sunday Nov. 17, 1918 after suffering several days with pneumonia. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. by Rev. S.M. Yancey, pastor of the Central M.E. church and burial took place at Bentonville. Besides her husband and one little daughter, Virginia, she leaves her parents, W.L. Williams, and four sisters, Mrs. Arthur Stevens of Paris, Tex.; Mrs. W.A. Cain, Mrs. Chas. Ellington and Miss Ruth Williams of Rogers to mourn her death. Mrs. Jackson was a woman of many splendid talents and was a musician of unusual ability. She joined the Central M.E. church in girlhood and was pianist for the church here for several years and in various other ways did so much for the welfare of the church and also for the community in which she lived. The untimely passing of Mrs. Jackson has cast a gloom over her neighborhood and has caused deep sorrow among a large circle of friends with whom we join in extending sympathy.
