ROGERS — Mae Jean Jackson, 89, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, May 31, 2010, at a local nursing home. She was born Sept. 6, 1920, in Crawford County, Ark., the daughter of Melissa Caroline Shepherd and George Washington Jordan.
She had lived in the Northwest Arkansas area for over 41 years after moving from Anaheim, Calif. She was a retired apartment manager.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister; and two brothers.
Jean is survived by one son, Norman Randall Jackson, of Rogers, Ark.; two daughters, Mary Leithleiter of Bentonville, Ark., Wanda Polley and her husband, Joe, of Rogers, Ark.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 3, 2010, from 9 a.m. until service time at First Baptist Church in Rogers, Ark., in the Fellowship Hall.
Funeral service will be Thursday, June 3, 2010, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Rogers, Ark., in the Fellowship Hall, with Pastor Tommy Hinson officiating. Interment will follow at Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers, Ark.
Pallbearers will be be Joe Polley, Joey Polley, Michael Jordan, Cecil Jordan, Randy Jackson and Myrle Morgan. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Polley, Aaron Morgan, Matt Lutz, Dane Lutz, Michael Culotta, Cody Kinion, Scott Kinion and Jackson Bennett.
Memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church of Rogers, Ark.
Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of Epting Funeral Home in Bentonville, Ark.
