JACKSON, Gladys - At 2 o'clock Tuesday morning as anxious watchers hovered o'er the couch, Death slipped in and claimed for his own little Gladys, daughter of S.E. and Annie Jackson. For only two short years she stayed in this sad world to bless and brighten the lives of those about her. Five long and weary weeks had she lain upon a bed of affliction, cared for tenderly, and then came the call to come up higher. Tuesday evening loving hands laid the little body to rest in the graveyard at O.I. Anderson's. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. N.B. Fizer. Words can feebly portray the sympathy and love given to the stricken parents by the entire community.
