JACKSON, Elizabeth - Mrs. Elizabeth Jackson, wife of Andrew Jackson, born in 1837, died Oct. 4th, 1901. She professed faith in Christ and united with the Baptists sometime prior to the civil war. Since that time she has lived a consistent christian life, being a member of the church at Bentonville at her death. Funeral services were held at the home three miles west of Bentonville on Sunday October 6th at 2:30 by the writer assisted by Rev. N.B. Fizer, pastor M.E. Church, South, Bentonville and Rev. I.R. Hall, member Baptist church, Bentonville. The large concourse of people that gathered at the funeral spoke volumes for the deceased and her family. After the services the body was laid to rest in the family burying ground to await God's call. She leaves a husband, three sons, two sisters, two brothers, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her death. Her pastor, J.H. Coin.
