JOHN JACKSON, OF DUG HILL COMMUNITY DEAD

John Jackson, well known farmer living eight miles north of Bentonville, died March 29, after a long illness. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Dug Hill church and burial made in the cemetery near by. Surviving are six sons, Charles E., James A., Fred, Will and Sam of Dug Hill, and Lee; three daughters, Mrs. Floyd Robbins of Gravette, Mrs. Virgil Noel and Mrs. Will Featherston, both of Bentonville.

Mr. Jackson was born at Pilot Point, Texas, Dec. 5, 1861. He came here with his parents in 1865. they located in Sugar Creek Valley north of Bentonville. He was married in 1885 to Miss Sarah Clark, who died several years ago.

JACKSON, Sarah Elizabeth - Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Jackson, wife of John Jackson, died at her home in the Dug Hill community Wednesday night of last week. She was born in Benton County and was 63 years old. She is survived by her husband, her mother, Mrs. Clark, 92 years old, and by nine children. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the family home by Rev. J.D. Allen, pastor of the Bentonville Baptist Church, and burial was in the Dug Hill cemetery.
