ROGERS — William Howard Jones, 89, of Rogers died April 7, 2006. He was born Oct. 30, 1916, in Lowell to Byne and Rose Cowan Jones. He owned and operated Howard Jones Electric for 25 years until his retirement in 1985. He was an Army veteran of World War II and an active member of First Baptist Church in Rogers.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Ada Bell Skaggs Jones; one daughter, Kay Williams and husband Bill of Rogers; one son, Tom Jones and wife Cathy of Rogers; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Rogers with the Rev. West George, the Rev. Ben Rowell and the Rev. Tommy Hinson officiating. Burial will be in Buttrams Chapel Cemetery in Pea Ridge.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Rogers.

Memorials may be sent to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 626 W. Olive St., Rogers, 72756.

Ada Bell Jones, 82, of Rogers passed away Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. She was born Aug. 17, 1924, in Avoca to Arville and Linnie Lynch Skaggs. She and her husband Howard Jones were married 61 years at the time of his death in 2006.

She worked in the home as a homemaker caring for her husband and children. She was also very active in the First Baptist Church of Rogers where she was a longtime member. She worked in the church nursery for some 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, Clifford Skaggs and Cecil Skaggs. Her parents also preceded her in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Kay Williams and husband Bill of Rogers and a son, Tom Jones and wife Cathy of Rogers. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Renee White of Lee's Summit, Mo., Elsye Sunderman of Bella Vista, Christopher Jones of Gateway and Joshua Jones of Rogers. Five great-grandchildren are left to mourn her passing.

A memorial service for Mrs. Jones will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12 at the First Baptist Church of Rogers. The Rev. Wes George, the Rev. Tommy Hinson and the Rev. Ben Rowell will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Rogers.

Donations may be made in her memory to the First Baptist Church of Rogers, 626 W. Olive St., Rogers, 72756.
