JONES, Elick Hamilton - E.H. Jones, who has been very poorly for some time, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 1918 at the family residence in Gravette. The funeral occurred at the home Monday, conducted by Rev. J.C. Banks, and interment was made in the family plot in Dow cemetery Monday afternoon. Elick Hamilton Jones was born in Knoxville, Mo. Jan. 8, 1845. He was married to Margery Marklin Aug. 23, 1866. Thirteen children were born to the union, 10 of whom survive: Allen {of Grove, Okla.}, Ed, Walter, and Dick; Mary Phillips, Anna Oliver, Lizzie (of Indiana), Fanny Locke, Cora Keep and Miss Nora. Mr. Jones was a member of no church but lived a faithful life and expressed his hope of heaven before he died.
