GENTRY — Jerral Ben Jones, 70, of Gentry, died Nov. 4. 2005, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville. He was born Aug. 22, 1935, in Decatur to Charles E. "Pappy" Jones and Flavie E. Wilmoth. He worked in maintenance and electronics for Emerson Electric and Foam Molding, both in Rogers, before retiring from Emerson. He was a member of Gentry Masonic Lodge 222, Siloam Key Lodge 7, Hazel Valley Masonic Lodge, Gentry's Order of Eastern Star 359 and Gentry Lions Club, where he played an instrumental role in the flag program. He was also a longtime member of the Gentry Volunteer Fire Department. He married Pat Douthit in 1956. He was preceded in death by one son, Eric Lynn Jones.
Survivors include his wife, Pat of the home; one son, Edward Lee Jones of Gentry; one daughter, Elizabeth Massey of Gentry; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Gentry with Dr. Robin Cowan officiating. Burial will follow in Falling Springs Cemetery, near Decatur.
Pallbearers will be Bert Conway, Mike Wheaton, Joe Whitaker, Robbie Massey, Greg Rea, Steve Jones and Bobbie Philpott.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Order of the Eastern Star, P.O. Box 786, Gentry.
