JONES, Wm. H. - Wm. H. Jones, or perhaps better known to his many friends as Bud Jones, died at his home one mile south of Maysville last Thursday after a lingering illness. He was about 67 years of age. Funeral services were held last Friday with interment in the Fairmount cemetery near where he formerly lived and where many of his relatives are buried. The Masons had charge of the funeral. The earlier years of Mr. Jones' life were spent on the old Jones homestead near Felker and is now known as the Coburn Orchards. In 1895 he married Miss Lydia Corner in Elm Springs. When a young man he taught school in several districts in that vicinity. County Assessor George Gearhart was a pupil of his at one time and states that he was an excellent teacher. After selling his farm and orchard to Mr. Coburn he bought a farm near Maysville where he has since made his home. Besides his widow he is survived by three children, all of the home place. One son, Frank Jones, and two daughters, Edith and Kate Jones. He also leaves two brothers - Frank Jones of Dodge, Okla. and G.A. Jones of Amoret, Mo. - and a host of friends and relatives to mourn his loss.
