Siloam Springs — Charlie Hollis Jones, 55, of Decatur, died Sunday at the Gravette Hospital. Born May 10, 1917 at Miami, Tex., he was a farmer, a veteran of World War II, a Mason and a Methodist.

Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Judy Jones of the home; one son, Jay of Tulsa; two brothers, Roy V. of Los Angeles, Calif. and W. G. of Farmington, N.M. and three sisters, Mrs. Velma Cole of Taft, Calif., Mrs. Blanche Gates of Dallas, Tex. and Mrs. Judy McIlroy of Barstow, Calif.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Decatur Methodist Church with burial in Decatur Cemetery under direction of Wasson Funeral Home.

Judy Jones, 85-year-old resident of Siloam Springs died Feb. 14, 2006, at Regency Hospital in Springdale. She was born Oct. 27, 1920, in Lane, Okla., the daughter of Henry Travis Rounsaville and Edna Goldie Eastridge Rounswille.

She was raised in Lorenzo, Texas, and graduated from Lorenzo High School and Draughons School of Business in Lubbock, Texas. She married Hollis Jones in Lubbock, Texas, in 1940. She moved to the community in 1551 and lived on a poultry farm in the Decatur/Gravette area. She was an executive secretary for Peterson industries for 24 years and was actively involved in dancing, bowling, bridge club and enjoyed gardening, traveling and family activities. Judy was a member of the Decatur Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis, in 1972; her mother in 1985; her dad in 1987; two brothers, Horace Rounsaville in 1928, and H.T. Rounsaville in 1944.

Survivors include one son, Jay H. Jones and wife Betty of Tulsa, Okla.; two grandsons, Karl Jones of Washington, D.C., and Michael James of Tulsa.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at Decatur Methodist Church with the Rev. Angela Gage officiating. Burial will follow in Decatur Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17 at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, online at www.wassonfuneralhome.com.
