WINSLOW — Margaret Alice "Cookie" Smith, 66, of Winslow died Oct. 17, 2006, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born March 15, 1940, in Gurnee, Ill., to John and Margaret Montgomery Markese. She was a homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star chapter in St. Clair, Mich.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Theodore Smith; two sons, Jeff Smith of Winslow and Donald Patrick Smith of the Marine Corps; four daughters, Tia Jones of Winslow, April Dawn Kosier of Alma, Annie Lamb of Alma and Cheryl Smith of Mountainburg; one brother, John Markese of Illinois; one sister Susie Widner of Dodgerville, Wis.; four grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Winslow Assembly of God. Burial will be in Brentwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville, online at www.mooresfuneralchapel.com.
