FAYETTEVILLE — Alice Pearl Smith, 56, of Fayetteville, died Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at her home. She was born Sept. 7, 1954, in Nob Hill, to Edwin Lee and Argie Marie Bohannon Johnson.

She enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing and camping, and was devoted to her family. She married Bobby Ray Smith on May 22, 1980, in Springdale.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Smith, of the home; six daughters, Tammy Smith of Springdale, Lisa Hancock of Paragould, Mistey Church of Fayetteville, Angela Martin of Springdale and Brandy Brady and Sabrina Diddle, both of Fayetteville; five sisters, Velma McGarrah of Hindsville, Geneva Cartwright of Lowell, Theila Bolin and Mary Griggs, both of Springdale, and Aline Gutierrez of Amarillo, Texas; a brother, Donnie Maddan of Springdale; and 18 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Johnson; and a sister, Peggy Johnson.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 16, at Heritage Funeral Home; online guest book at www.heritageofwna.com.

A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Mercy and Grace Cathedral in Springdale, with Pastors Euel Bilderback and Wesley McGinnis officiating. Interment will be at Sonora Cemetery.

Bearers will be Joseph Fuller, Johnathan Fuller, Dylan Bernath, Tyler Owens, Corey Church, Brandon Bowen, Ryan Castleman and Matthew Smith.
