SPRINGDALE — Tom W. Smith, 81, of Springdale died Jan. 22, 2011, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.

He was born Jan. 31, 1929, in Alabama to John and Nancy Meadows Cox. He was a self-employed heavy-duty mechanic and a member of Christian Life Fellowship in Lincoln.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Smith; four sons, Wayne Smith of Nashville, Tenn., George Smith of Fayetteville and Phillip Daniel and Paul Daniel, both of Bentonville; two daughters, Karen Robinson of Nashville, Tenn., and Tamesha Holland of New Orleans; four brothers; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Wedington Baptist Church.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Wedington Baptist Cemetery.
