FAYETTEVILLE — Marion Lester "Smitty" Smith, age 79, a resident of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away May 21, 2013, in Fayetteville. He was born April 3, 1934, in Barber, Ark., the son of Arch Alvin and Bertie Mae Mitchell Smith.

He owned Smitty's Plumbing and has been a master plumber in the Northwest Arkansas area since 1962. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Paul Douglas Smith and Darrell Eugene Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Viola Smith; one son, Scott and his wife, Diane Smith of Elkins; one daughter, Karen Sue Tuck and her husband, Larry of Fayetteville; one brother, Jim Smith of Mansfield, Ark.; two sisters, Margaret Cook and Myrel Dean Kerr, both of Greenwood, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Thursday at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove with burial in Zinnamon Cemetery in West Fork, Ark.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Dale Smith, Troy Smith, Virgil Taylor, Roger Cook, Rashiti Jones and Leo Harrison.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Randy Parker, Roy Hummel, Joey Lewis, Tony Ball, Jeff Smith and Danny Smith.
