Paul Earle Smith, 58, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died Oct. 27, 2011, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.

He was born Aug. 27, 1953, at Fayetteville to Andrew and Geraldine Spencer Smith. He was a horse trainer and a former employee of Cobb-Vantress.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Ledbetter Smith; two sons, Josh Wayne Rodden of Bentonville and Jason Alan Rodden and wife Nicole Peoples-Rodden of Kailua, Hawaii; a daughter, Ashley Nicole Rodden of Point Marion, Pa.; seven brothers, Andrew Smith, Jr., Larry Smith, Curtis Smith, Neil Smith, Muarice Smith, Jimmy Smith and Robert Smith; two sisters, Clara Smith and Ann Fisher; two grandchildren, Alexis Faith Wilf and Christopher Isaic Wilf, both of Kailua, Hawaii; one godson, Kyle Thomas, III, his mother-in-law, Pauline Ledbetter of Huntsville, Arkansas; his brother-in-law, Edward Ledbetter of Huntsville, Arkansas; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Saturday, October 29, at the Oak Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas with Edward Ledbetter officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M. on Friday at the funeral home.
