*Obituary
The body of James Monroe Smith, retired planter and well-known politician, who died at 3 a.m. Monday at the family residence, 1614 Wolfe street, was sent to El Dorado at 7 a.m. Tuesday by Healey & Roth for burial. Pallbearers were Hill Carruth, Earle E. Hodges, Hamilton Moses, L. P. Park, Arthur Hill and R. C. Beavers. (Arkansas Democrat - April 19, 1921)
