BROWN, Sarah Elizabeth MITCHELL - W.L. Brown of Vinita, Okla. and V.R. Brown of Parsons, Kan. were in Rogers Friday on business and made the Democrat office a call. They had been called to Garfield early in the week by the serious illness of their mother, Mrs. S.E. Brown, who died Thursday at her home, 1/2 miles west of Garfield where she had lived for 45 years. She had been ill about four weeks. Funeral services were held Friday at the Providence church where she was a member of the Primitive Baptist church. Her husband died some 19 years ago. They came to Benton County some 45 years ago and homesteaded the farm where Mrs. Brown was living at the time of her death. She is survived by two daughters and five sons: Mrs. Jack Ratcliff of Brightwater; Miss Nancy Brown, who lived at home with her mother; Jesse Brown of Los Angeles, Calif.; Luther Brown and J. Newt Brown, hoth of Garfield, and the two sons, W.L. and V.R. Brown, mentioned above. The deceased was 74 years old.

BROWN, Elizabeth - {from Walnut Hill} Mrs. Elizabeth Brown, who has been an invalid for the past two or three years, died Thursday and was laid to rest in the Snodderly cemetery Friday afternoon at 4:30. The bereaved family has the sympathy of the entire neighborhood.
