BROWN, J.H.G. - J.H.G. Brown, among the first settlers to locate in Gravette, was found dead in his bed last Thursday. He had been ill for several years but his condition has been growing worse the past three or four months. Mr. Brown was seventy-five years of age and was born in Wurtemburg, Germany. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Presbyterian church. Burial was made in the Gravette Cemetery. He is survived by three sons, R.J. Brown of Gravette, Will Brown of Pittsburg, Kansas and Glenn Brown of El Reno, Oklahoma and one daughter who lives in Los Angeles, Calif.
