Brown, Mary - Mrs. James Brown, better known as Aunt Mary, aged 74 years, who has been making her home with her sister, Mrs. Sid Rife, suddenly dropped dead late Tuesday afternoon while at the well at the Rife farm. She has been in apparently good health and was thought to have been stronger than in some time. Funeral services were held at the Osage church Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Wm. Bone of Bentonville officiating. Burial was made in the Barron cemetery. Mrs. Brown was born in Illinois but had lived the greater part of her life in this county. She was well known in that community for her lively interest in life. Having no children of her own she devoted her life to the welfare of the children of others.
