ROGERS — Lon Earl Brown, 72, died Sept. 10, 2011, at home. He was the loving husband of Frances (Rodgers) Brown. He was born in Nicutt, Okla., to Lindsey and Imogene Marie (Hines) Dunn Brown on Jan. 1, 1939.

Lon was a minister of Christ's Church of Rogers for 10 years. He was a loving husband and father. He loved fishing, hunting, singing and playing his guitar. But most of all, he loved serving the Lord.

Before Lon retired, he worked as a machine operator for Mafco. He was also a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife of many years, daughter Belva and son-in-law David Bowerman, all of Rogers.

His funeral is to be private. Services are being conducted by Rollins Funeral Home.
