GRAVETTE — Maxine D. Roberts, 86, of Gravette died Jan. 19, 2009, in Gravette. She was born May 18, 1922, in Hiwasse to Willie and Ruth Duncan.
She married Marion Roberts on Dec. 1, 1941. She attend Faith Bible Church in Gravette, was a former member of the JGT Club and did volunteer work for Care and Share in Gravette.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Harold Roberts of Gravette, Nelson Roberts of Gravette; one daughter; Jeanette West of Fayetteville; one sister, Eula Duncan of Tulsa, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Gravette.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today the funeral home. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hiwasse. Services are under the direction of Callison- Lough Funeral Home in Gravette.

Gravette — Marion Ruben Roberts, 92, of Gravette passed away Friday, July 25, at his home. He was born in Gravette on May 31, 1922, to Albert Charles Roberts and Ruby Medearis Roberts.
While a student at Gravette High School, he was a standout basketball player. He lived in the Gravette area all of his life except when he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He loved to work in his garden and always enjoyed a good basketball and baseball game. For many years, he served as a deacon and Sunday School superintendent at Faith Bible Church. He volunteered at Care and Share and also served on the Care and Share Beard of Directors.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 67 years, Maxine Duncan Roberts; his daughter, Sharon Jeanette West and two brothers, Melvin Roberts of Gravette and Carl Roberts of Ada, Okla.
He is survived by two sons, Nelson Roberts and Harold (Bo) Roberts and wife, Stella of Gravette; a sister, Alberta Roark of Shawnee, Okla.; son-in-law, Al West of Mabelvale, Ark.; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Church between Hiwasse and Gravette. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, at Mount Pleasant Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
