L. Roberts, 72 years old, died at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at his home two miles west of Avoca on Sugar creek, after a long illness. Funeral arrangements have not been completed pending arrival Thursday of a son, Barton Roberts, from Washington, D.C. Burial will be in Buttram Chapel cemetery with J.W. Bryant in charge. In addition to the son Mr. Roberts is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mattie Roberts.

Funeral services for L. Roberts, who died February 28th at his home near Avoca, were held on last Thursday afternoon and burial took place in Oakley Chapel cemetery. Besides a son, Barton Roberts, who lives in Washington, D.C., he is survived by his widow. Barton Roberts came last week in time to attend the funeral of his father.
