Miss Opal Nichols died at the family home September 14, 1921 at the age of fifteen years. She was the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Nichols of Hiwasse and had lived all her life in or near this place. Opal was always a happy lighthearted girl, endearing herself to all by her pleasant disposition. She was a member of the Busy Bee S.S. Class and was always interested in church work. She will be greatly missed in the work and social activities of her class. She is survived by her parents, three brothers and one sister. She was laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant by the side of her little brother and sister who have preceded her to the better world. Six girls of her Sunday School class were the pallbearers and the rest of the class carried the flowers. A Neighbor.
