BENTONVILLE — Darrel Kevin Phillips, 27, of Bentonville died Oct. 14, 2004, at Bentonville. He was born July 29, 1977, in Fayetteville to Floyd Darrel and Wanda Brown Phillips. He served many years in the Christian Center in Bentonville and was a member of Faith Christian Fellowship in Rogers. He received the Youth Excellence Award from the Kiwanis Club, was the state MDA Poster Child in 1985 and was a member of Hope for MD. His caregivers were Deb Foresee, Cathy Bertchey and Tina Baltz.

Survivors include his parents of Bentonville; two brothers, Floyd LaGrand Phillips of Bentonville and Travis Michael Phillips of Rogers; two nieces, Lanessa Phillips and Ashley Phillips.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Faith Christian Church in Rcgers with the Rev. Buddy Gastineau, the Rev. Rudy Sanchez, the Rev. Daniel Phillips and the Rev. Gaylan Pearcy officiating.

Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery under the direction of Sisco Chapel in Springdale.

Pallbearers will be Arron Shepard, Josh Hollinger, Theo Smith, Josh Phillips, Floyd Phillips, and Jimmy Hollaway.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Holman and James Michael Brown.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
