Betty Leona Vest Gillihan of Boswell, daughter of the late William Benjamin and Sara Mona Banning Vest, died October 9, 1998 at Stone County Medical Center in Mountain View. She was 91.
Mrs Gillihan was a homemaker and a member of the Boswell Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Doyle Gillihan of Boswell and Noel Don and wife, Ina Gillihan of Boswell; one brother, Harlin Vest of Melbourne; two sisters-in-law, Ollie Bates of Melbourne and Magdalin Teal of Calico Rock; one grandson, Don and Melody Gillihan, Jr. of Calico Rock; eight nephews and four nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Gillihan; her parents, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held October 12, 1998 at the Boswell Baptist Church with Reverend Jeff Sanders officiating.
Pallbearers were Art Jones, Stan Vest, Scott Vest, Jr. Gillihan, Shelby Gillihan and George Gillihan.
Interment was at Vest Cemetery in Boswell under the direction of Crouch Funeral Home in Melbourne.
