Adrian Golden Gillihan son of Alex Richard Gillihan and Emma Eunice (Grimmett) Gillihan. Ida Arlie (Davis) Gillihan daughter of William "Will" David and Olivia (Kidwell) Davis.

Adrian Golden Gillihan, son of Alex and Emma Grimmett Gillihan, was born August 23, 1915 at Twin Creek, AR. He died November 24, 2001 at Springdale, AR. He was 86. Mr. Gillihan married Ida Arlie Davis on January 25, 1936 at Twin Creek.

He was a retired factory worker and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

Survivors include four sons, Doy Gillihan of Springdale; Larry Gillihan of Kansas City, MO; Gerald Gillihan of Smithville, MO; and Charles "Chuck" Gillihan of Wideman; one sister, June Gillihan Ramsey of Henderson; 16 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ida Davis Gillihan; one son, Don Gillihan, and one infant daughter; a brother, Loyd Gillihan; and his parents.

Graveside services were held November 26, 2001 at the Combs Cemetery in Melbourne with Bro. Allen Cartwright officiating.

And that of his wife,
Ida Davis Gillihan, 79, of Springdale, AR, died August 11, 2000 at Springdale. She was born May 18, 1920 at Twin Creek, AR, and was the daughter of William and Olivia Kidwell Davis.

Ida was a homemaker and a member of World Wide Church of God.

An infant daughter; a son, Don Gillihan; a brother, Ray Davis; and a sister, Edith Edwards, preceded her in death.

Her survivors include her husband, Adrian Golden Gillihan of the home; four sons, Doy Gillihan of Fayetteville, AR, Larry Gillihan of Kansas City, MO, Gerald Gillihan of Smithville, MO, and Charles Gillihan of Mountain Home, AR; one sister, Ethel Moxley, sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m., Monday, August 14, 2000 at Combs Cemetery in Melbourne, AR
