Frances Ernestine Mynatt Gillihan, daughter of the late Smith and Mertis Mynatt, was born June 11, 1929 in Sage, Arkansas. She departed her life March 31, 2019 at her home in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 89 years, 3 months and 11 days. She was united in marriage to Boyce Afton Gillihan on December 21, 1946 and together they raised three children. Frances spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, auntie, homemaker and friend. She was of the Church of Christ faith and a member of the Twin Creek Church of Christ, member of Red Bud EHC and Melbourne VFW Women’s Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years: Boyce Gillihan of the home; three children: Joyce Anna Baker of Melbourne, Ricky Afton Gillihan of Melbourne, Sherry Lea Smith and husband Charles of Melbourne; four grandchildren: Renee Lindsey and husband Dan of Calico Rock, Casey Gillihan and wife Emily of Derby, Kansas, Jonathan Baker of Melbourne, Carrie Baker of Violet Hill, Bill Baker and wife Angela of Mount Prospect, Illinois; eight great grandchildren: Keegan Gillihan, Corbin Gillihan, Aricka Lindsey, Lauren Lindsey, Bailey Baker, Liam Baker, Frances Baker and Lena Baker; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother: Charles Mynatt and one son-in-law: Robert John Baker.

Visitation and funeral service will be Wednesday, April 3 at Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne with Donald Gillihan officiating Visitation begins at 1p.m. Funeral service begins at 2:00 p.m.. Burial will be at Combs Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to: Combs Cemetery Maintenance Fund, C/O Sandra Smith, 187 Sand Hollow Road, Melbourne, Arkansas 72556.

Pallbearers: Toby Smith, Ronnie Gillihan, Mike Phipps, Dan Lindsey, Alan Love, Ronnie Davis.
