Gary Lynn Lackey, 18, of Route 3, Mt. Home, died Wednesday of last week at the University of Arkansas Medical Center in Little Rock. He was an employee of th Baxter County Highway Department.
Born Dec 12, 1957, at Kansas City, MO, Mr. Lackey moved ot Norfork about 10 years ago with his parents, Danny B. and thelma Dickerson Lackey. He attended schools at Norfork and Mt. Home and was a summer employee of the highway departem while in high school.
Suvivors include his father, at home; four sisters, Mrs. Betty Stewart of Norfork, Mrs. Janice Hamby, Miss Linda Lackey and Miss Donna Lackey, all of Mt. Home; two brothers, Dean and Jimmy Lackey, both of Mt. Home; three nephews, Curtis Steart, Christopher Stewart and Shan Hamby, and two nieces, Stacey Stewart and Minday Hamby. He was preceded in death by his mother in 1970.
Services were conducted Saturday at the Galatia church near Norfork with Rev. R.E. Miller, a pastor with the Evangelistic Messengers Association, officiating. Interment was in the Galatia Cemetery under the direction of the La Fevers Colonial Home. Pallbearers were Charles Luther, Randy Parnell, Junior Clark, Richard Ross, Elmer Reynolds and Larry Ward.
