Alexander Stephens Lackey, 84, of Norfork died Sunday morning in the Grasse Clinic at Calico Rock. Funeral services were held at 2PM Tuesday at Galatia Methodist Chruch with Bro. Arthur P. Davis of the Mt. Home Church of Christ officiating.
Interment was in the Galatia Cemetery under the direction of the Roller Funeral Home.
Mr. Lackey, a native of Norfork and lifelong resdient of this area, was born September 7, 1878, the son of the late Dr. W.W. Lackey and Mrs. Adeline Simmons Lackey. He was a retired farmer, and a member of the Chruch of Christ.
Survivors include his daugther, Mrs. Grace Kilfoy of Gassville; two sons, Woodrow Lackey of Kansas City, MO and Crutis E. Lackey of Rogers; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and a brother, C.C. Lackey of Hanford, CA.
Pallbearers were Wilbur Ownes, Wade Killian, Vero Hall. Hoyd Lewis, Lundy Bare and Paul Hogan.
