Services for Gordon Lackey of Mt. Home will be at 2PM Sunday at old Galatia Church at Norfork with Bro. Ron Davenport officiating. Mr. Lackey died Thursday (March 11, 1999) at his home. He was 73.
Visitation will be from 9AM to 9PM today at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8PM. Burial will be at Galatia Cemetery with David King, Willie Medley, Ronnie Schutkesting, Tommy Carpenter, Troy Lackey and Kenny Hickman serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Adams, Roe Whitfield, Harvey Beard and Abijah Hughes.
An area native, Mr. Lackey was born May 22, 1925, at Norfork, a son of John William and Cora Alice Dickerson Lackey. He and the former Arlene Narin were married April 4, 1974, at Bull Shoals. Mr. Lackey worked in maintenance. He enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene Lackey of the home; two daughters, Cori Lackey of Mt. Home and Traci Knee and husband, Randy, of Rockford, IL; two sisters, Arlein Medley of Mt. Home and Maxine Hickman of Garfield, KS; and two granddaughers, Ashlee and Melissa Knee of Rockford, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Memorals may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks or Baxter County Home Health.
Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
