Maurine Clark, 80, of Rogers, died Thursday, Oct. 29 at a local nursing center. She was born May 10, 1912, in Rogers, to Samuel S. and Carrie Elizabeth Bush Adams. She worked many years for several insurance firms and retired from Rogers Insurance Agency. She was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church, where she sang in the choir for over 45 years, and also served as financial secretary and music librarian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.W. "Bill" Clark in 1971, her parents and a brother, Warren Adams in 1989.
Survivors are two sisters, Ruby Russell and Iris Brewer, both of Rogers; three nephews; two nieces; and ten great nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be held today at 10:30 a.m. at Rogers Cemetery followed with a public memorial service at 11 a.m. at first Christian Church with the Rev. David B. Artman, the Rev. Ralph S. Lambert, and Dr. Roy Key officiating. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church music department. Arrangements are under direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Service, Rogers.
