CLARK, J.W. - Saturday morning people of the community were shocked by the announcement that Dr. J.W. Clark, one of the most promising physicians of the city, was dead. His demise took place at about three o'clock in the morning and is supposed to have been caused by an overdose of bromidia and morphine taken to quiet excessive nervousness and neuralgic pains. Dr. Clark had a widespread acquaintance and reputation as a professional man of skill and efficiency and the news of his death will come to all with much sadness and commiseration. He was married to a daughter of Hon. S.W. Peel, who together with three children, survives him. Interment took place Sunday afternoon, the remains being followed to their last resting place by a very large concourse of sympathizing friends.
