ELLISON FAMILY CEMETERY OVERV *

Ellison Family Cemetery
Baxter County,
Arkansas

LOCATION: Ellison Family Cemetery is located north of Mountain Home almost to the Missouri border. From the center of Mountain Home at the intersection of HWY 5 AND Hwy 201 take Hwy 201 north approximately 12.2 miles to the intersection of SR201 and CR37. Take CR37 east 1.8 miles to the intersection of CR37 and CR467 which is a dirt road. Go north on CR467 approximately .3 miles and pull off to the side of the road. To your right is a hill. Cross the barb wire fence and walk up the hill, about 200’. At the top of the fence will be a heavy cattle tube fence about 12’ x 24’. This is the Ellison Family Cemetery.

The cemetery consists of four field stones (unmarked) two early stones of cement with the letters hand pressed and two current commercial stones duplicating the cement stones.

The cemetery lies approximately 500’ up the hill from the original Ellison homestead which fronts CR467. Two of the original handmade log building still exist.
