SPRINGDALE — Lester Gene Johnson, 59, of Springdale, Ark., died June 6, 2010, at his home. He was born June 10, 1950, in Springdale, Ark., the son of Thurman Lester and Ruby Lillie Johnson. He was a retired truck driver for Tyson's Foods and a Christian.
Survivors include his mother, Ruby Lillie Johnson of Springdale, Ark.; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Thomas "T.J." Johnson of Tremont, Miss., Earl and Joyce Johnson of Berryville, Ark., and Michael Johnson of Springdale, Ark.; and three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Dorothy Chamberlain and Caroline and John Lane, all of Springdale, Ark., and Barbara and Michael Nicholas Woytowich of Celina, Tenn.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 12, at The Church of Truth in Springdale with the Rev. Wesley McGinnis officiating. Interment will be in the Wilson Cemetery in Springdale, under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home, www.brashearsfuneralhome.net, of Huntsville, Ark.
Pallbearers will be Michael Johnson, John Lee Chamberlain Jr., John Lane, John Lane Jr., Michael Woytowich and Tony Collins.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the church.
