JOHNSON, Alline - On the 23rd of November the death angel entered the home of Mr. and Mrs. S.V. Johnson and claimed their only child, Alline. Alline Johnson was born in Ohio a little more than 13 years ago and came with her parents about a year ago to Rogers when they bought a part of the old Miller place, three miles north of town and where they were residing at the time of her death. She was a healthy, happy, contented girl until two weeks before her death she came home from school threatened with tonsillitis which quickly developed into a most fatal form of diphtheria. On account of the contagious cause of her death the funeral was a private one and only a few intimate friends accompanied the grief stricken father and mother to the Rogers cemetery where, after brief services by one of the local pastors, interment was made.
