Obituary for Hattie Lee Sanders:
Hattie Sanders of Mountain Home, daughter of the late George Edward Nichols and Edna (McCallister) Nichols was born on August 25, 1913,
in Holly Springs, Mississippi. She died April 7, 1995, at Bax-
ter County Regional Hospital at the age of 81.
Mrs. Sanders was united in marriage to William R. Sanders March 6, 1938, in Dolph. She worked as a nurse’s aid at a nursing home before
retiring, and loved gardening and flowers. Mrs. Sanders attended the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Gassville.
Mrs. Sanders is survived by two sons, Joe Don Farris of Salesville and Larry Sanders of Mountain Home; five daughters, Billy Kay Fox of Edgerton, Kansas; Frieda Casteel, Lena Sanders, Brenda Davenport, and Lou Fisk all of Mountain Home; 16 grandchildren, and 14
great-grandchildren; two nephews; and six great—grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, one brother, one grandson, and one step·daughter. Mrs. Sanders had two very
special friends, Pat Flippo and Lucille Renka.
Services were April 10 at Dolph Baptist Church with Reverend Garland Skidmore officiating. Pallbearers were Michael Farris, Jim Farris, Jayson Fisk, Wayne Casteel, Dennis McClellan, and Billy McClellan.
Honorary pallbearers were Pat Flippo, Arthur Langston, Everett Casteel, Jim Fox, and Don Davenport.
Interment was at the Wayland Arbor Cemetery in Dolph under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Mountain Home.
Memorials may be made to Wayland Arbor Cemetery Fund.
