Thomas Vel Sanders husband of Nancy (Martin) Sanders. Thomas Vel Sanders son of Rufus Jackson Sanders and Annie Bell (Skidmore) Sanders. Thomas Vel Sanders died in Calico Rock, Izard County, Arkansas.

T. V. Sanders
Thomas Vel Sanders, aged 56 of Dolph, died on July 10th, 1980 at Calico Rock Medical Center. Mr. Sanders was the son of Rufus J. and Anna Skidmore Sanders. He was a Baptist and World War Two disable veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Martin Sanders;; one son, Donald of Black Rock; one daughter, Katie Meis of Mtn. Home; 2 brothers, Phillip Sanders of Dolph and George Sanders of Kansas; three sisters, Nola Foster of Calif., Lula Wright of Mo., and Anna Bell Harris of Harrison, Ark.
His parents and 7 brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral was at Howard Funeral Home Chapel on July 13th. Burial was in Tremble Campground Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Tim Sanders, Theodore Dockins, Virgil Moser, Berlin Sanders, James Porterfield and Gerald Wyatt. Honorary pallbearers were Jesse Skidmore, Ronnie Dockins and J.J. Gentry.
Note: The middle initial is inscribed as "U" on his regular gravestone and on his military gravestone. The obituary lists his middle name as Vel. Some family trees have his middle name recorded as Eul. That probably means that his middle name was Ule or Uel.
