Eddie’s Family Funeral
W. L “Bill” Cooper of Melbourne, Arkansas
W. L. “ Bill” Cooper, son of the late Noah Eldon Cooper and Annie Florence Aylor Cooper, was born February 7, 1921 in Larkin, Arkansas. He departed this life February 21, 2017 in Batesville, Arkansas at the age of 96 years and 14 days. Bill served in the United States Army during World War II, stationed in the Philippines, New Ginea and Luzon. He was united in marriage to Anna Faye Stephens July 4, 1946 and to this union four children were born. He spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, uncle, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider, farmer and friend.
He is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law: Calvin and Shannon Cooper and Tony and Tabby Cooper all of Melbourne; one daughter and son-in-law: Crystal and Mike Jackson of Batesville; thirteen grandchildren: Ty Cooper, Natalie Cooper, Drake Cooper, Madi Cooper, Billy Cooper, Brooke Johnson, Thomas Johnson, Mandy Bronski, Jeffery Post, Maggie Tharp, Blake Caraway, Casey Jackson and Bobby Jackson; eleven great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Noah Eldon and Annie Aylor Cooper; his wife: Anna Faye Cooper; one daughter: Sherry Post; three brothers: Rufus Cooper, Rmmel Cooper, Jay Cooper and two sisters: Dora Lee Carr and Matra Lawrence.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 23 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Graveside funeral service will be Friday, February 24 at 2:00 p.m. at Old Philadelphia Cemetery in Melbourne.
Pallbearers: Doyle Cooper, Drew Waggoner, Daniel Taylor, Jake Moser, Joe Cooper and Jody Kever.
Honorary Pallbearers: Tom Phipps, J.C. Grills, Mark Herrington, Toby Smith, Kirk Miller and Brad Wheelis.
