Funeral services for William Henry Smothers, 77, who died April 29, at the home of his brother, Frank Smothers of Buford, were held April 30, at the Fairview Church with the Rev. C.E. Patton officiating. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery under direction of the Adams Funeral Home.
Mr. Smothers was born at Buford in 1870, the son of early settlers of this county. He is survived by three brothers, George of Tulsa, OK, Frank of Buford and Green of Denver, CO.
Among those from out of town who came here to attend the funeral services were George Smothers, Melvin and Ralph Smothers, of Tulsa, OK, Mr. and Mrs. Bruxie Smothers , Mrs. Maude Kelley, Mrs. Tressie Stovall and Mrs. Jessie Whiteman of Springfield.
