GROVER SMOTHERS KILLED IN MINE AT PICHER, OKLA.
Former Baxter County Boy killed in the Mines, Is Son of Frank Smothers of Buford.
A telegram was received Tuesday afternoon by Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Smothers of Buford, stating that their son, Grover Smothers, had been killed in a mine accident at Picher, Okla., where he was employed.
Mr. Smothers left immediately for Picher. The details of his death are not as yet known here. He is survived by his parents, several brothers, sisters and a wife. It is not known at this time whether he will be buried there or returned here.
