Last rites for Jody Smith, 71, of Shady Grove community will be held Friday afternoon at 2PM at Fairview Church, with Rev. Guy Roberts officiating.
Mr. Smith died yesterday morning at a local hospital. He was born in Missouri on January 20, 1884 and was a member of the Baptist Church. A retired farmer, he had lived in this state for 63 years.
He was the son of the late John and Ellen Young Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Oder Smith of the home; two daughters, Hazel and Lorena; four brothers, Arthur of Mt. Home , Luther of Siloam Springs, Jarril of Bentonville and Cleo of Wichita, KS, and 10 nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, under direction of the Roller Funeral Home.
