Funeral services for James Lee Simth, 69, of Buford community were held September 9, at Burnt Schoolhouse and interment was in the cemtery there. Rev Chaney officiated. Mr. Simth died September 7, at Fort Smith.
Mr. Smith was born January 11, 1883, in Baxter County and spent his entire life here. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Ruble Simth of Violet Hill, and Brownie Smith of California and two daughers, Mrs. Ruby Beaves of Memphis and Mrs. Retha Groves of California.
Two brothers, Albert of Konowa, OK, and Charley
of Flippin and two sisters, Mrs. Van Knight of Buford and Mrs. Vina Isom of Flippin also survive.
