Pamela K. Knight of Mt. Home died Friday (April 7, 2000) at Baxter Regional Medical Center. She was 51.
Mrs. Knight was born May 3, 1948 at Springfield, MO, to J.N. 'Newt' and Maye Turnbo. She married Allen L. Knight on Nov 27, 1966 at Midway. She worked as Controller for White River Industries, was a 1966 graduate of Mt. Home High School and she enjoyed crocheting and collecting antiques.
Mrs. Knight is survived by her parents, J.N. 'Newt' and Maye Turnbo of Three Brothers; her husband, Allen L. Knight of the home; two sons, Brad Knight and wife Leslie of Maumella, Scott Knight of Mt. Home; one brother, Jim Turnbo and wife Debra of Three Brothers; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Aileen and Max Schantz of Buffalo City; god daughter, Ashley Simmons of Cotter; one uncle, Hiram Byrd, Sr. and wife Gertie of Mt Home; three aunts, Margie Dahlke and husband George of Three Brothers, Naomi Francis of Kansas City, KS, Josephine Pool of Bossier City, LA; two nieces Jamie and Diana Turnbo of Three Brother; three special friends Heather, Keenan and Trinton Shumaker.
Funeral service will be 4:30PM today at Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Lyon and Rev.
Doug Huskey officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:30-4:30PM today, prior to the service. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Buford with D.A.Dahlke, Milton Dahlke, Richard Byrd, Benny Byrd, Hiram Byrd, Jr. and Dwight Byrd serving as pallbearers. Pat Pool, Mike Pool, Brian Byrd, David Byrd, Barrett Byrd, George Robert Dahlke, Lyndal Swan, Jonathan Dearmore, Peter Peitz, Vernie Harris, Henry Hodges, Bill Morris, Darrell McCracken and Ronald Byrd will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to M.D. Anderson Research Center, Houston, Texas or the Leukemia Society.
Roller Funeral Home and the United States Forest Service have provided for the planting of a tree as a living memorial to the memory of Mrs. Knight.
