ROGERS — Katheryn Rice, 84, of Rogers died Dec. 14, 2000, at Beverly Healthcare in Rogers. She was born Jan. 4, 1916 at Stone Bluff, Okla., to Joseph and Susan Gayway Gorman. She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church and a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She, along with her husband, founded Rice Jewelers in 1964. She enjoyed cooking. She was preceded in death in 1981 by her husband, Cecil C. Rice.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Joe Rice and Glenda of Rogers; one daughter and son-in-law, Carman Houk and Steve of Marion; two brothers, Robert Gorman of Lancaster, Calif. and Joseph Gorman of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister, Gertrude Claussen of Boulder, Colo.; three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Peace Lutheran Church in Rogers with Pastor Erik Boye officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be at Benton County Memorial Park.

Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Service in Rogers.
